Last night we got to the hotel late after seeing ' Le Reve' at Wynn Las Vegas ( Cirque du Soleil) 10 out of 10 for the show and then having Dinner ( that's a rip off story I'll tell one day)
But the show was amazing, it was a circus in the water and in the round. The circular venue was constructed to house this show.
There was a round pool with various stages that rose and fell in the pool according to the scene. Performers descended from the cone shaped roof on cables, often diving from incredible heights, or spinning in the air as a number of couples and then diving.....things were happening everywhere , swimmers rose out of the water from nowhere then disappeared.... it blew your mind,It was all done to a live band, fantastic lighting effects, costumes and the computerization,of all sorts of things.
Tonight we see David Copperfield billed as greatest Illusionist ever in the world.....can't wait.
We saw David Copperfield at the MGM casino theatre. The layout was done cabaret style, with tiered tables and chairs at which drinks and snakes were served....and expensive too.
We thought 15 min of self promotion with film and video was a bit much before the star appeared,
The big magic tricks were great....appearing the other side of a steel plate after being locked underneath it....pretty good ..then there was the appearing car on stage from nowhere.... his body that appeared to be squashed to about 2 feet.....and the audience members who disappear, only to appear seconds later in the theatre among the tables ...not bad at all.
Poor bit were a card trick that you watched on the screen and dancing bits of paper...all to small in such a big venue....lets say 8 out of 10.
Tomorrow we are off again!!
