We have just come back from dinner at the "High Country Bar and Restaurant" and what a great night and dinner it was.
One of only a handful of eating places in town at night and we chose the best I'm sure .It was crowded when we arrived and so we sat at the bar until called. The bar was full of atmosphere with a mix of locals and tourist .The bar area reminded us of many of the pubs in out back NT or Qld, STUFF every where, Large mirrors behind the bar, stools and tables, made for and intimate atmosphere.They had a great range of beers and we had two local draft ales.
Off to dinner we went when called . Soup and salad for Sandie and another beer and a great sirloin steak with garlic butter by request plus baked potato, and salad and of course another beer for me....all excellent.
so Chama redeemed itself and we should sleep well tonight.
