PEAKS TO CRATORS LOOP

To night we are in a ski resort town called Ketchen, it's about 2/3rds of the way around the loop.
We read about it in the lonely planet guide to the USA, WELL ITS A LONG LOOP,about 350mls in length.
One of the most spectacular parts of the drive today was a section called the Grand View Canyon, the road zig zaged though towering peaks, although no more than 5 or 6 miles it was quite a highlight.
As  we entered another part of the drive called Sun Valley we were hit by our first thunder storm and rain. By days end the sky had cleared but it is considerably cooler at night in this region.
