SALT LAKE CITY UTAH

Tonight we are at the Red Lion Hotel in Salt Lake City, home of the Church of Christ of  Latter - day Saints.
The Church (temple) is quite impressive.  The 'church' Founded by Joseph Smith ,he was spoken to by a disciple of Christ who ordained that, he  would be Christs new Latter - day Saint on earth..so in 1853 this new group of Mormons filled with the belief that they had been chosen to spread the word of God began to build the Temple. The project took 40 years to complete. ,...it is VERY impressive.  The Temple is now one of about 14 buildings that make up 'Temple Square'
Mormons make up half the population of Salt Lake. As most are aware their mission is to travel the world to spread the word and make conversions from other faiths if possible
The drive from Ketchum in Idaho to Salt Lake in Utah took as about 5 hours. We travelled through an amazing valley between to large mountain ranges . This endless valley was fertile irrigated farm land..broad acre farming on a large scale.
At the end of each days travel we check into our accommodation and take to the streets.' Tonight we walked for 3.5 hours, a had a really nice meal in a Mediterranean Restaurant.
Its an interesting place we might stay another day before moving on.
