A LONG DAYS DRIVE

Tonight we are in 'Gardiner' the northern gateway to Yellowstone National Park.
It's been a long rive today ,over 600km mainly over plains country but we are now once again in the Rocky Mountains.
Gardiner is a real mountain tourist town, with lots of accommodation,we are paying $163 a night at a Comfort Inn Motel and this happens to be at the cheap end of the market, but already the setting and scenery has us all geared up for a couple of days of adventure.
The motel dining room is full of stuffed park animal, grizzly bear, brown bears, elk, deer and lion cats.
All that was enough to put Sandie off the Elk meat loaf, and buffalo steak.
After a very long day in the car  we are stuffed, however with a top speed limit of 121km, on most of the hwy today we managed to do the trip in about 6 hours....boy, do they drive fast even on the most mountainous twisty roads.
